CERTIFICATE IN BALANCED CANINE TRAINING
This exciting online course is a multi-faceted approach to creating the "Balanced Dog" that will be a great addition to any canine professional's toolbox as well dog handlers looking for a think outside of the box approach to their dog's behaviour & well-being.
You will learn how to support a dog with behavioural challenges with topics including drive management, enrichment, nutrition, complementary therapies through to teaching calm and balanced behaviours through balance, strength & body awareness training + much more.
Students who successfully complete the courses assessments and major assignment will receive certification with the Academy of Canine Health Sciences and may use post-nominal letters i.e. Sally Citizen CertBCT.
The Cert. Balanced Canine Training has been developed by seven industry professionals across varying fields who are passionate about helping dogs find their balance and we know you will find their knowledge invaluable.
Students will have 12 months to complete the 12 module online course, each module has an associated quiz and the course will be finialised with a major assignment that will take a number of months for students to complete which will require cases studies, one of which you will need direct access to one able bodied dog. Students should allow 1-2 hours per week to study, practice their new skills and work on their major assignment.

Students will have 12 months to complete the course, extensions are available for a fee. Quizzes and assignments are required to complete the certification, students will have 3 opportunities to gain a passing mark, beyond the 3rd try, the Academy will work with the student to assist them further and resits are possible for a fee. There are no cancellations, refunds or credits available for digital content once students are enrolled.

Do I need to be dog trainer to take this course?
No, whilst this course adds new tools to existing trainer's toolkits, there are no prerequisites to enrol.
When can I start?
Typically within 1 business day of enrolling! We will invite you to the course platform and send you your Student information and you can get started right away.
How long do I have to complete the course?
You will have 12 months from enrolment. If neccessary you are able to get an extension for fee.
Are there assignments and exams?
Yes, there is a multiple choice quiz after each module. To complete the certification you will need to complete the major assignment, this will take a number of months to complete.
Is this course nationaly recognised under Australian framework?
The Academy of Canine Health Sciences is located in Australia however is an international private course provider. Certification is with the Academy of Canine Health Sciences and whilst the course is currently being assessed for accreditation from various organisations, it is not nationaly recognised under Australia's framework. Australia's National Training framework does not have any existing framework for this type of course which is very niche and unique.
Will this course qualify me to become a Trainer or similar?
No, this is a professional development course, it assumes you already have the necessary qualifications/training to understand and deliver the information from the course work.
This course should be looked upon as adding new tools to an existing tool kit.
How is the course delivered?
The course is delivered via the Google Classroom which is a online platform where you will be able to view and download content and take the each modules quiz online. We've done everything we can to keep prices down for you so you end up paying for the content not platforms and branding etc.
Are payment plans available?
No sorry, not that this time, however this course will always be available, so if you need to save, there is no rush to enrol.
What do I get for the "Content Only" course?
You will recieve access to the content only. You will not be able to speak with coaches, participate in quizes or assessments.
